About

Bill Walter is an upcoming Colorado photographer specializing in landscapes, architecture and wildlife.

Bill grew up in the south Denver suburb of Littleton, Colorado. Son of Sally and Kenneth Walter, Bill grew up in a land surrounded by beautiful vistas, with the Rocky Mountains visible from his bedroom window. As a child, Bill's parents fostered his love of the outdoors, traveling to places like Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, and his now beloved Rocky Mountain National Park. Bill looks back upon these trips as the beginning of a dream to capture the allure of the world in a photograph.

Bill's enthusiasm for ecological points of interest grew with the years. As a young man, he purchased his first digital camera, and started a long journey to honing in his photographic skills. Bill quickly noticed a natural talent to capture beauty in a photograph. Bill's pictures slowly transitioned from basic mountain vistas, to creative images in the depths of some of the states most beautiful areas. This talent grew with the arrival of his daughter Allyson in 2012. Bill's casual hobby, grew into a desire to capture his daughter exploring the same vistas Bill viewed with wonder as a child.

Bill's favorite places to photograph in Colorado include: Rocky Mountain National Park, The Maroon Bells, Great Sand Dunes National Park, and Garden of the Gods. The list is ever growing. Bill has also enjoyed a transition into urban photography, which is reflected in a number of his pictures showcasing areas of Downtown Denver.

In 2009 Bill married Amanda Walter. Originating from Southern Ontario in Canada, Amanda introduced bill to a new world of photographic possibilities; the Great Lakes Region, and Niagara Falls. This area quickly became a favorite spot for Bill to shoot creative photos not previously part of his portfolio. Although visits to his region are few and far between, Bill never misses an opportunity to take new and creative photos of the worlds most famous waterfall.

Bill currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife Amanda, and daughters Allyson and Kennedy. He continues to grow and develop as a photographer, as he explores previously unseen corners of the state, and expands outwards to new areas of North America. Bill looks forward to expanding his horizons, as well as his portfolio in the months and years to come.
